An inner-city mixed commercial building – including a Coles Supermarket, commercial office suites, and a multi-storey car park needed an IP Video Surveillance upgrade The building had been targeted by thieves, vandals and drug-users, and the CCTV system that has been installed will not only provide a visual deterrent to criminals but also help promote the safety of the customers and staff that regularly use the building.
The CCTV system is monitored for suspicious activity off-site by a control room and security guards can quickly be dispatched if an incident arises.
IP Video Surveillance System was installed throughout the multi-storey car park and commercial offices lobbies. Attention was made to monitoring the entrances into the building, the car parks and the roof-top services area.
Artificial Intelligence Cameras with smart analytics were installed in the lobby areas to alert the control room if persons are loitering outside of normal business hours. If the control room operators saw anyone suspicious on the cameras, they would quickly dispatch a security guard to move them one – this had the biggest impact on the security of the building.
Large capacity storage, so detailed analysis can be carried out to help identify and recognise any persons or vehicles involved in criminal activity at the building. And any evidence recorded from the CCTV system can easily be provided to the Police to assist in their investigations.

Keeping such a close eye on our equipment was frustrating, but we managed. As we neared the end of the project, though, we started to see the positive impact of the security measures. Graffiti had virtually stopped, and staff and visitors felt safer, especially at night. It made all the hard work worth it in the end.”
